Church Planting – Central Europe

Doug and Tricia Stoner have been missionaries serving in Slovakia since 1994. Their main ministry has been assisting the evangelical denominations in planting churches so every person is within reach of a witnessing fellowship. The Lord has been good in working through them, and now the Slovak churches are taking over the ministries. As a result, the Lord has led the Stoners to be full-time area leaders for Pioneers (a mission organization) to oversee the Central Europe region.

Central Europe, consisting of Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia, is a post-Christian and very secular area. Less than 1% of the population has trusted in Christ alone for eternal life. Doug and Tricia will facilitate the Pioneers missionary families in the region as they, in turn, equip and empower the local churches through outreach and the planting of new churches.

The Stoners have two children, Ryan and Megan. Ryan is currently a student at the University of Colorado in Boulder. Megan will continue high school at a Christian school in Vienna where the family will be based for the next few years.
